Inspired Lives Project Launch this week

This week Woolavington Primary School in Bridgwater will be our first school to embark on our brand new ‘Inspired Lives’ project.

They are an incredible school and the headteacher, Georgina Maclennan is amazing. They will be pioneers of the new project, which isn’t yet available to all schools. Georgina is very forward thinking and wanted more from her PE and Sports Premium funding, something that would impact the lives of not only the children, but the teachers and parents of the school.

Our vision is to inspire schools to be healthier, happier and more active. More specifically with ‘Inspired Lives’ it is to have an impact on individuals that attend, work or are parents of the school.

We are working on 4 key themes:
1. Improving behaviour/children’s engagement in school
2. Giving teachers time back through helping with the above, not impacting on their time. Moreover, we will be working with teachers on their own wellness and mindfullnes to help with stress levels
3. Developing sports leaders and working with them and the school so that they play an active role, become role models, whilst improving their self-esteem and leadership skills
4. Increasing physical activity levels. Which as we know can help to improve attainment, attendance, behaviour, wellness and has so many more benefits.
The school begin their journey on Inspired Lives on the 22nd October, when we are delivering a whole school assembly to get the ball rolling before their first delivery day on the 25th, where Channel Adventure are delivering a team-building and problem solving day.

Woolavington Primary School are already an Inspired Playground and Inspired Somerset (formerly Key Stage Coaching) partner of ours, and we know they are the perfect school to kick start the new project before it becomes available to other schools.  We can’t wait to get started tomorrow with an assembly to kick off the launch!
