Happy 3-2-1 Friday!

Here are 3 moves, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for your school, class or children next week…

3 Moves

1. Treasure Chest

  • A classic game,
  • 4 teams
  • Maybe add in a foodie theme using cones, bibs, tennis balls.
  • Ask the children to build a burger with white cones for the buns, yellow ball for the cheese, green for lettuce and red for the burger.
  • If you don’t know the game, I’m not sure we can be friends!

2. Activity Break Idea

  • Try a Rock Paper Scissors competition.
  • If you have a house system, split them into 4 teams.
  • With 10 cones per team set out like stepping stones.  The players at the front jump in line with the cones like frogs (not on the cones).
  • The winner of that rock paper scissors continues towards the opposing team.  If they reach the other side they score a point for their house.
  • If they lose, they run to the back of their line.
  • You can do with this with more than 4 teams to increase activity levels.
  • If you have time, rotate the teams to play other teams.

3. Get the most out of your number square

  • Perfect for cross-curricular, 1-1, or small group break
  • Organise children into teams and on cones around the square
  • The teacher, TA, Leader of LSA calls out a number, or sum and the children throw the bean bag onto what they think the answer is.
  • Vary movements to collect the bean.
  • Movement forfeits for getting it wrong or missing the target.

2 Quotes

  • Harry Kane (Footballer):
“I always want to strive to be one of the best, so sometimes it takes sacrifices and hard work.”
    – This quote reflects Kane’s focus on hard work and dedication to improving.Dina Asher-Smith (Sprinter):
“I think it’s important to know that there are many ways to reach your goal and you have to find the way that works best for you.”
    – This shows her belief in personal growth and perseverance.

1 Question for your class

“What is one thing you can do this week to be a better teammate? Or classmate?”

Until next week,
